Step 1: Wash garment first.
Step 2: Turn the steam setting on the iron to OFF.
Step 3: Choose which iron dial you have:
a) Set temperature in between cotton and linen.
OR
b) Turn the temperature dial to 3 stars/circles.
OR
c) New technology iron with no temperature dial displayed. Bring iron up to temperature by ironing item of clothing first – DO NOT iron label from cold.
Step 4: Peel label off backing paper, place it on the garment, wording face up. DO NOT iron your label onto a care label.
Step 5: If your clothing is delicate or made up of synthetic fabrics, place a thin cloth over the label so the iron does not leave a mark.
Step 6: Place heated iron over the label keeping the iron still for 5 seconds, then swirl the iron for another 5 seconds to evenly distribute heat (10 seconds in total). Make sure the edges are sealed. Leave to cool. The label should be smooth, not crinkled.
